chldrns wants to remind everyone to stay true to their inner child. Born and raised in Mexico, Juan Carlos Nunez started DJing at the age of 12 to become the eclectic producer and engineer he is now. His work is an exploration of different perspectives around house music. chldrns wants to provide his audience with the freedom to express themselves freely and have fun on the dancefloor.
Uploading trap instrumentals to Soundcloud made him a name in the future beats scene in 2016, where he found and learned new and innovative production techniques, inspired by artists like Mr. Carmack, Mura Masa, and Sam Gellaitry. In 2018, “Perfect High”, his collaboration with Dontloveme and Skylar Bennett was played by San Holo on BitBird Radio. In 2020, during the pandemic lockdown, chldrns created his first full-length album , “When I Go To Sleep” featuring his own vocals and collaborations with long time friends Dawn Avenue, and nationals like JACK KOOL, and Sediment Futura.
Later, chldrns rediscovered his sound through electronic music and DJing, finding fascination in the endless possibilities that house music provides. His recent work as a producer has reached ears across the globe, being released by labels such as Limousine Dream and Nothing But Knowledge.
Today, he is co-founder of party series Tarabeva, pushing his fun and elegant house sound across Mexico and the world. Around the time of Tarabeva’s launch, Juan Carlos met Gallō and instantly connected through a shared love of music and good times. Shortly after, they formed their DJ and production duo “Chico’s Delivery”. Today you can find them spinning records in the CDMX underground and Tarabeva parties with exciting music coming in the future.
